Catherine Lanning, 62, of Shickshinny passed away on Thursday November 13, 2025, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

She was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Mike and Evelyn Hicbacq Liston. Prior to retiring, Cathy was employed as a cashier at various stores throughout the area.

She was preceded in death by brother Phillipe Liston, brother-in-law Dwayne Brazil, and stepson Kenny Lanning.

Surviving are her husband Robert Lanning Jr., daughter Chandra Liston Gruver and her husband Jeremy of Florence, Alabama, grandchildren Jeremy Gruver and his wife Briana, Jonathan Gruver, great granddaughter Emerella, sister Sylvia Brazil of Alamogordo, New Mexico, 1 niece, 1 nephew.

A celebration of life will be held after the holidays. There will be no calling hours.
